Wow, so a lot's been happening lately which is fab, but on a bad note it means that I'm an infrequent blogger! This week I sent away two more orders to new stores on the 'mainland' which makes me feel very excited and content with how my little arty business is progressing. We are in the middle of school hols right now, and in our tiny beach shack with my 3 rugrats it is a very colourful, chaotic and crazy but cool time. When I do grab the chance to make new necklaces I am LOVING creating new designs with differing colour schemes and patterns. That is my all time fave part of what I do creatively. I like to make each necklace unique, however I have started making some similar pieces (similar in colour, pattern, shape or design) as I have found that popularity makes it impossible to make each completely different! Here's some newies:

New pieces for 2012
Hi there, it's been a while. Life seems to go so fast it is hard to keep up! Here are some images of my new styles created this year. Some of these have been sent to my first mainland store, which is situated in Daylesford, Vic (Im quite excited about this!) and I've had enquiries from a store in Adelaide as well as Albert Park, Vic! Hence I am pretty flat out keeping up with demand, but also completely happy to be in this dilemma. Here are the pics of my new mixed media necklaces. They are quite long and are a mixture of wooden beads, buttons and my handmade paper mache beads :
But there is more:
The earring are paper beads threaded onto sterling silver hooks. Light weight and pretty!

Getting into the spirit
After some 'umming and aahhing' I have decided to make some Christmas bits and pieces. I absolutely LOVE this time of year and it therefore provides lots of inspiration for us creatives peeps! I will be selling some of these probably at the Maker, or if you would like one, send me a message and I will send your favourite to you. They retail at $29 and each piece is a unique item. May you have a peaceful and loving month of December xo
Here are some pics of my creative process:

more new things for summer
Ive been making quite chunky pieces of late - I think I'm inspired by the largish wooden beads that I've bought to compliment the paper ones. I still love making earthy pieces but I have loved using colour more extravagantly. Some of these are for sale at Providore 24 and others at the Makers Workshop.

Chunky summer pastel beads - by AvyLovesNed on madeit
I have finally got my act together and have some new web presence. The way we need to get exposure in Tassie! Madeit shops take a bit of maintenance but the benefits are well worth it xx
